Message from the Winner's Circle Chairman:

"When we started the Winner’s Circle 2009 program back in August, we knew it would be one of our most challenging campaigns yet. We needed an ace in the hole, a special rabbit’s foot, in short – a good luck charm for our Lucky #7 campaign. I was lucky enough to find five lucky charms in past chairs Stephen Hillenmeyer, Guy Huguelet, Glenn Leveridge, Harry Richart, and Nick Rowe. And, lo’ and behold our luck paid off with A LOT OF HELP FROM YOU. During a time when many non-profit organizations are struggling to meet their fundraising goals, I asked our volunteers and staff to dig a little deeper, and you all came through with flying colors. Your effort to see this thing through and make it successful was simply amazing, AND WE’RE NOT DONE YET. THAT’S RIGHT, WE’RE NOT DONE YET. Even though we’re celebrating the fact that we reached our overall goal, we recognize that there are still sales ongoing. Whether you are still trying to connect with a member, track down a signature on a contract, or finalize renewals, you’ll still have time to do that. There has never been a time when we need those final sales, and you’ll have until Dec. 15th to turn in contracts for the 2009 campaign. If you’re having trouble matching up sponsorships with a company, please contact the Commerce Lexington staff for help. There are still plenty of great sponsorships available to meet any budget."

Commerce Lexington's Winner's Circle total resource development program is an innovative program that enlists about 130 business professionals as volunteers to actively promote the organization's programs, events and services. For ten weeks, volunteers seek to bring in new memberships, renewals, event sponsorships, in-kind support, and publication sponsorships. Top producers earn great prizes with the ultimate being an exclusive trip to those who surpass established top goals.
